What is Professional account?
A professional account is the Instagram account type meant for businesses and creators, as opposed to the personal one. There are two variants, business and creator, and both unlock reach and engagement insights, a contact button, a profile category, ads and, most importantly for tools, access through the official API. Without a professional account there is no scheduling through tools, no comment automation and no metrics reading. Switching is free, done in settings, and a business account needs to be linked to a Facebook Page.
