What is Stories?
Stories are vertical photos and videos, in 9:16, that stay available for 24 hours and appear in the row at the top of Instagram. Distribution goes almost entirely to existing followers: it is the relationship format, not the discovery one. That is why it works for behind-the-scenes, polls, question boxes and for announcing a new feed post. A story can be pinned to the profile as a highlight, and a mention of your account in someone else’s story is one of the most valuable interactions a brand gets.
