Reels

Instagram’s short vertical video, distributed mostly to people who do not follow the account yet.

What is Reels?

Reels is Instagram’s vertical video format, in 9:16 and usually up to 90 seconds. Unlike the feed, distribution goes mainly to people who do not follow the account, through the Reels tab and the Explore tab, which makes it the most used format for reaching new people. Retention in the first seconds decides reach: a video that holds until the end is shown to more people. The same video can be posted to the feed, and it also works for TikTok and Shorts.

In Murify

Murify generates static posts and carousels; it does not edit video. What it delivers for Reels is the script in hooks and the 9:16 version of the same post, which works as a cover or a story.
