What is Caption?
The caption is the text published together with the image or video. On Instagram it goes up to 2,200 characters, and only the first line shows before the "more" link, so that line has to work as a hook. A good caption complements what is on the slide instead of repeating it, brings context or the story behind it, ends with a call to action and carries the hashtags. It is also read by the network’s search: the words in the caption help the post get found.
