Metrics and analytics

Vanity metrics

Numbers that impress but do not guide decisions: total followers, likes, views of a single post.

What is Vanity metrics?

Vanity metrics are the ones that grow without anything changing in results: total followers, the number of likes, the views of an isolated post. They look like success, but they do not say whether the content is bringing customers, starting conversations or growing the account sustainably. The opposite are actionable metrics: engagement rate, saves, shares, link clicks, contacts generated. The question that separates the two is "what would I do differently if this number doubled?". If the answer is nothing, it is vanity.

In Murify

Murify’s analytics organizes metrics by topic and by post, with the automation funnel from comment to click, so content decisions come from rates and contacts, not from total followers.
